Overview
Aleesha Cole's new job is great pay-and seems simple enough. Keep sleepy Miriam company. But the guest in the room at the top of the stairs is unlike any company Aleesha has ever kept. Within the ivied walls of Acacia House, it seems everyone has their own tale to tell. Their own secrets. And as Miriam's story unfolds, Aleesha's life is transformed by a series of dreams, visions and.........something else. Something that teases and tugs at her skin, trying to get in. Bringing both threat and promise to her increasingly troubled mind. The myth and history of the ages combine in the madness of the six short days they spend together, And the only thing keeping Aleesha's sanity intact is the knowledge that Miriam's tale cannot possibly be true. She can't be who she claims to be. She just can't be.
