Overview
Alberto Bianco is a young, up and coming private investigator in Italy. Although a rookie, he likes to think he's good at his job, but he never expected to be knocked off his feet by love. Maria Centine is an Italian-American tourist whose vacation falls into peril amidst dangerous intrigues-but she's happy to turn to Alberto for support. Two crimes draw them together. A fifth century mosaic is defaced in Ravenna, and an illicit relationship causes death aboard a yacht in the Adriatic Sea. Alberto investigates but is soon drawn into the seedy underbelly of drug trafficking, infidelity, violence, and murder across two continents, three countries, and a personal vendetta to "even the score." As Alberto digs deeper for the truth, there is more than love at stake; lives are also now up for grabs. Inspired by his love for collecting sea glass, author E. A. Maruggi beautifully captures the sights, sounds, and smells of Italian life while catapulting readers into a very dangerous game of love and suspense.
