Overview
The Great Desire is the story of Jake Denton's life, from his early years in Idaho to his final years in Alaska. This tragic and heartwarming coming of age story will offend your notions of appropriateness, alter your conceptions of love, and prompt you to question your values. In his sharply critical debut novella Brett Wilcox poignantly tells how death and deep suffering bring Jake to the brink of destruction, and how his unyielding utopian attitude forges a new reality of hope and passion for a life of adventures and meaning.
