Overview

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) conducted a health hazard evaluation (HHE) at Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services (BRFRS) in Boca Raton, Florida and at Tamarac Rescue Services (TFR) in Tamarac, Florida. The HHEs concerned potential exposure of fire fighters to antimony from wearing pants made from FireWear(R) fabric. Site visits were made February 2-6, 2009. NIOSH findings and recommendations are detailed.
