Overview

Sistah From Another Planet is Diane Vincent's first published book of poetry. Diane writes from a place of transition and growth, as she takes you on a journey through her life's experiences, culture, personal battles, and sexuality. Sistah From Another Planet expresses Diane's cosmic love and relationship for all that exist in the universe and her adamant devotion to self-love, culture, consciousness, community and kinship. Her unapologetic, decadent, intrepid, sensual and provocative style reveals her vulnerabilities and strengths as an activist, mother, and sensual Nubian woman that is not afraid to expose the deepest part of her nature. Diane's poetry awakens the consciousness and resurrects the culture of an African diaspora marginalized by westernization. Sistah From Another Planet is a collection of poetry comprised to nourish the mind, heart and soul of the reader.
