Overview
Tessa lost everything except for her brother a few days after her twenty-fifth birthday in a horrific automobile accident. It doesn't take long for her to decide that she needs to get away from the town that she has always called home, and she makes the decision to move to the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri, with her brother, Mitchell, in tow. Life goes back to normal, and Tessa is able to move on, until she realizes that her new house is haunted by the spirit of a young woman named Lauren. Not only that, but it only takes a few sessions of the girls talking to one another for Tessa to quickly realize that she is falling head-over-heels in love with the spirit. When she finds out that the other girl feels the same way, they embark on a journey to find out whether love needs to have a physical form in order to be something real. 65,000 words.
