Massachusetts, 1968: Marielle Morin is twenty-eight and can barely get through a children's book. Her lifelong struggle with reading and writing forced her to drop out of school when she was fourteen. Her experiences as a student in the Boston Public Schools inspire her to start an advocacy group and fight to improve education for disabled children.
