Overview
The California man recounting these funny, earthy, heart-touching, and very real stories is a painter, builder, gardener, chef, musician, inventor, songwriter, carpenter, woodcarver, woodworker, toymaker, and barefoot hiker, as well as a fine sculptor of stone or sand. Mainly, he's a self-taught master of the enjoyment of life, and he brings that enjoyment to every one of his tales. Read them by the light of a campfire, or to a hearthside gathering of friends and relatives of any age.
