Overview
Raphaelle wrote this book with the intention to inspire other children like herself to embrace life as it comes and to face the challenges with courage. The Story is about embracing life no matter the illness. She describes right from the beginning how the symptoms of her diabetes started. In the middle of the story she goes on to describe the challenges of testing daily and the changes that occurred in her life while dealing with diabetes. At the end of the story, by embracing diabetes as part of her new life, she celebrates her skills, talents and the strength within, being happy to be alive.
