Lou Lou Rose was leading a hectic life as a mother, educator, and partner when a life-altering event set her on a new trajectory in 2013. She said herself, "I knew at that moment in time that nothing would be as it had been." This event marked the after, and her whole life was now just a before. Having seen so many of her family and colleagues go through the same issues, she was shocked and saddened by people's inability to offer sound advice or even basic support. Initially, she found this uncertainty frightening and extremely isolating; but with time and access to some very compassionate professionals, Lou Lou Rose eventually decided to make a stand and say what needed saying. She wrote this book in an attempt to give others and their families simple and sound advice to make this journey just a little bit easier.
