Overview
David Bellomy's book: "Laments, Secrets, Peccadilloes and Doubts" addresses the life and times of a man in poetry and verse. The content is presented from the perspective of an older man and is divided into three sections: (1) "Love...and Other Fading Memories," (2) "If Only," and (3) "looking into Darkness." Section one addresses: the laments, secrets and peccadilloes of lost loves and anticipates the pain of future loss. Section two touches on the cosmic road and the duality of man. In his epilogue, Bellomy offers proof of deja vu and precognitive experiences in an attempt to allay your doubts concerning an omniscient presence in the universe. Section three addresses: death, war and the realities of "le petit guerre" in your streets; these works strip away the veneer of civilized man. Collectively, this book addresses man as sand through an hourglass; a vessel filled with memories and desperate hopes. And it concludes: we should never presume to redefine or re-invent our memories. Instead, we should embrace the moments of our lives with all their flaws and deficiencies. This book is a record of time shared without let or hindrance and very little camouflage.
