Overview
Tyler Erickson wastes his days getting intoxicated and playing advanced VR battle games. Sticking to his strict routine of escaping reality is the only way he knows how to cope with his pain and sense of purposelessness. His palliative escapism successfully kept him numb to the world until he became the unwitting participant in a conspiracy surrounding a scientific breakthrough called Simulated Reality Technology. Upon entering an S.R.T program, Tyler discovers that he is unable to escape the simulation of the ancient Roman world, circa 29 BCE, shortly after the conclusion of the war between Octavius Caesar and Marcus Antonius. This story follows Tyler through his long life in and around the city of Capua.
