Overview
When a friend of Spencer Hardesty is arrested for committing a gruesome murder, she calls Spencer for help. She's a dancer and her partner has been killed by someone who really must have hated him. Unfortunately, the cast and crew of the dance company has a vast collection of people who did and the killer managed to lay his death at Delia Sanders doorstep by planting false evidence. Spencer must use all his resources to prove that, but he's lucky because he has Trey and Emma and Eve on his side, not to mention a friend high up in the police department that doesn't much like Delia as the murderer and enlists Spencer's help to keep her from being railroaded. Of course, it has to be on the quiet and it doesn't take any of the heat off Spencer. With a cast of characters ranging from quirky to completely mad, Spencer Hardesty's seventeenth adventure proves as crazy as it is dangerous. Life in dance is all about competition, but who was desperate enough to kill to beat that competition out? He can narrow the list of suspects, but will Spencer manage to lure the real killer out of the shadows? Or will he end up at heaven's gateway himself, waiting for final judgement?
