The Oxford Aeronaut Part 2:: The King Of Ballooning

After years of struggle, James Sadler returns to Oxford to take up a chemistry post and marry Mary Vane. Then Thomas Beddoes brings news of the first man-made flight. James vows to design, build and fly his own balloon, becoming the first English aeronaut. The Royal Society dispute his inaugural flight and James cannot reveal that Reverend Buckley flew with him or his friend's curacy will be forfeit.
