Karin Ayer's dream was always to become a professional dog handler. Growing up in a family involved in the sport, she learned the art from her family, who taught her the handling, grooming, professionalism and ethics needed to succeed. Karin, a highly-recognized winning junior handler, is often sought out after by handlers for her help in a pinch. The first junior ever to win the junior handler championships at both the New York show and the Medallion Kennel Club, Karin is able to write her own ticket to apprentice with any handler in the country. Her dream becomes a step closer to reality after she and her best friend, Peggy, team up to apprentice under the highly-regarded and up-and-coming dog handler, Jason Colby.
