Overview
Finally, ghost stories for adults! From the mind of Terry Daly Karl comes thirteen fantastic tales about what happens when humanity meets the inexplicable. Everyday people come up against supernatural and occult forces beyond their control. Can they act with courage and cunning, or is humanity doomed to repeat the same mistakes of greed, vanity, and arrogance over and over again? In "Incident at the Hanson Farm," a farmer sends his daughter out to investigate mysterious sounds in the barn. In "Watch Out for the Wild," a reporter travels to the Canadian wilderness and finds that he's bitten off more than he can chew. "He Comes in the Night" visits a woman dying in a nursing home, while "Dealing with the Devil" sees a skateboarder on the eve of the biggest tournament of his life. "Bon Appetit" tells the story of a blogger with a secret, and "A Hunting We Will Go" follows a hunter with a past. Other stories contain faerie princes, criminal masterminds, voodoo merchants, aliens, mad scientists, madmen, and mediums. As you encounter the bizarre and uncanny in Strange and Disturbing, make sure you aren't alone. These frights are meant to be shared with friends!
