Overview
Homicide detective Rachel Myers loves working in New York City and using her intelligence to solve even the most convoluted plots. But when she's called to a strange murder scene, she stumbles across a web of intrigue that will strain even her sterling skills of detection. Nurse Melva Connors has been killed in her apartment. Her kidneys were extracted with a surgical instrument, but the attacker left no trace of himself behind. The police are stumped. Melva's nephew, Dr. John Davies, is left reeling after her death. The good doctor turns amateur detective as he examines his aunt's life for a secret that may be the clue to the truth behind her death. Meanwhile, Rachel is encountering roadblock after roadblock.
