Overview

Alcoholics Anonymous. The American Church. The church has been around longer. The church has more prestige. The church has the better reputation. Alcoholics Anonymous has better results. People in AA are finding freedom and healing from their addictions while Christians in church continue to suffer from them. In this book, Aaron Nowell a life long Christian who spent four months in AA explains why it has been more effective as of late in helping its members find healing than the church. By comparing these two institutions that are never compared, Aaron not only brings to light their similarities but also brings to light some areas of the church that need to be improved for it to again be the place of healing it once was.
