Overview
The stories in this collection are about ordinary people, captured at points in their lives which, while not momentous, will define them in some way. Their various encounters prompt an exploration of the landscape and purpose of their lives. Meet Leon as he mishandles a precarious relationship with the one person who brings meaning to a life in danger of running out of control. Take a seat in Mario's barber shop as his customer's lock horns over politics, pop music and morality. Or join Jenna as she tries to deal with the disappointment other peoples' triumphs. Compassionate, humorous and endlessly enquiring, these twelve stories capture those moments when experience offers an opportunity of a better understanding of ourselves and of others.
