Was Pope John Paul II the "Bishop in White" from the Fatima vision? On Wednesday, the 13th of May, 1981, Pope John Paul II was shot by Mehmet Ali Agca while entering St. Peter's Square. Two years later, the pope visited Agca in prison and the two talked at length. This play attempts to provide a context for these events within the greater struggles of the 20th century and the role John Paul II played in them.
