Still More Remembering

This book is a collection of short essays and other writing, mostly about growing up in Polk County, North Carolina, in the 30s and 40s. Most appeared first as the Remember When columns published in the Tryon Daily Bulletin starting in 2008. Its title essay, found on page 129, tells of both local and nationally known people who contributed so much to our way of life. The stories are inspiring, informative or funny, but always short. Illustrated; more than 300 people are indexed.
