This book contains amusing and entertaining adventures and anecdotes from my youth that you will enjoy! Sec 1- Camping Made Easy My escapades as a camp counselor in the 60's at a Boy Scout summer camp in northern Maryland. Here's a sample: Broadcreek Scout Camp was the epitome of scouting culture in the Maryland in the 60's. Their stay at Broadcreek was the high point of every scout's year. The summer of 1960 was my second year there and it was the 50th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Broad Creek was selected for the biggest anniversary bash in the USA and coincidently it was the same summer the War Canoe Submarine was invented!" Sec 2 - Believe It or Not: You might think that since I was an engineer for most of my life, I would believe only in that which can be explained by math and the sciences. What I have found over the years has led me to quite the contrary conclusion. In fact, as time passes the less we seem to be able to explain. These chapters are descriptions of events that I have experienced that are hard to explain using scientific method, math and logic. Sec 3 - Business Travel for Fun and Profit: Traveling for business more frequently than I would have liked, sometimes for weeks or months at a time, eventually made me hate business travel! Thank God there were events which broke the monotony and boredom! One such event involved a short hop on commuter aircraft with a connection at DFW airport when it was surrounded by thunderstorms and the P/A system announcing that three tornados had touched down nearby! I call this one "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye!" Sec 4 - Never Give Up: It has been said that being a pilot is hours and hours of boredom separated by a few minutes of shear panic. Although my career in aviation (as an airborne taxi driver) was short lived, I understood the meaning. However, if there was no fun connected with flying, no one would ever become a pilot! Some of my flying experiences (the funny ones) are in this section.
