Overview
The Midwife Book 1 - Ciguena is the first of a Magical Realism (fantasy/supernatural) series that takes you into the lives of the Gonzalez family, their eccentric lifelong neighbor/midwife, old Dona Victoria, and the opinionated community, who collectively influence the imagination through peculiar events, bizarre superstitions, weird rumors, and far-fetched suspicions connected to creepy Dona Victoria. The birth of a child takes the midwife into a mysterious tailspin and causes havoc throughout the valley. VG Gonzalez based the story series on real events and tales from her childhood and imagination. She leaves it up to the reader to decide where reality ends and fiction begins.
