Overview
Carol Hill Marks's third book of poetry digs deep into the subsoil of great nature, and comes up with images that help us access unexpected wildness. She would like to know what the crickets are actually saying, and would not mind if a panther settled in the woods nearby to keep the deer population down. Her nature poems remind us of our connection to the earth as well as to the cosmos. Each one could serve as a focus for daily meditation.
