Only now, when the drink and the drugs have finally left my body, am I able to face the consequences of my actions. Only now, away from the city and the people that dragged me down, am I able to come to terms with what I have done. My little retreat in the forest contains only practical items, stuff that I need to survive. However, I do have one luxury, a book. That book is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and there is a poem in that book which made me realise that I actually have no one to blame but myself, and that, no matter what we like to think, we have no earthly way of knowing which direction we are going and that there is no knowing where we're rowing or which way the river is flowing.
