Overview
Annie on the Prairie is a heartwarming new Christian series by author Poppy Gunn. The daughter of Swedish immigrants, fifteen-year-old Annie Larsson must adjust to life on the prairie, the family living in a one-room log cabin. Tea is Annie's younger sister, while Johannes is only ten, and quite precocious. In The Harvest, the farmers of Salina slowly recover from a devastating fire. Nearly back on their feet, the Larssons experience another setback after pappa injures himself plowing a field. Annie worries greatly that mother will want to move back to Sweden now, especially since there is no one to manage the farm and winter is fast-approaching. Coming to their aid, Sheriff Douglas arranges workers in a rather unconventional way. Despite the hardships and the uncertainty, Annie wishes to marry Garret Rafferty, having accepted his proposal, while her sister, Tea, adores the sheriff.
