Overview
Brownie, a puppy who has chestnut colored fur, comes to Ginger's house. He is as cute as can be! The family falls in love with him. They are poor but they feed him with table scraps from their house and the house of their neighbors. All is well, but suddenly he grows up and is not so friendly. Should they keep Brownie? Can they keep him? Children will be glad to read how this story ends and parents will be pleased to reinforce the idea of how nice it is to bond with a pet.
