Overview
This is the true story of the 1987 kidnapping and murder of police drug informant Denise Williams. The book follows the lives of the victim, the suspects, and the police officers who investigated the case, as well as the trial and appeals of the suspect that stood trial for murder. The book includes actual court testimony from some of the many trials and hearings of the case, as well as the twists and turns the case took, including the theft of evidence and the attempted murder of a police service dog. It also focuses on the lead detective, Alan Creech, who was in charge of the investigation.
