Overview
In many cultures, people celebrate their birthdays with not only joy (they've survived another year!) but with a certain reverence for that one day of the year that is theirs alone. It is only natural to be interested in what else happened...who shares the same birthday, what major world events occurred on that specific day throughout history? The On This Date series of booklets captures the events of two millennia for each day of the year. The subjects cover the gamut - births, deaths, wars, elections, sports, the arts and entertainment, and a healthy smattering of what can only be described as interesting trivia.
