Overview
Nonny, age eleven, accompanies her father to Bikaner in Western India in 1920. Because of a fall from her pony she finds herself living with an Indian family part time. It's a different world and getting used to it while still being an American involves her in an adventure that brings her face to face with the Maharajah.
