Overview
Some people like to distance themselves from the animal world - not so Clarence Day Jr. In this witty collection, Day muses on our similarities with our ape cousins and how our simian blood affects the way we live our lives. He ponders what a world with other animals in charge would be like. Day was a noted humorist and author of the famous memoir Life with Father, which was made into one of the longest-running Broadway plays ever. Written in 1920, Simian World is a timeless and entertaining look at the essence of our humanity, for anyone who has ever thought we might be more animal than not.
