Sheriff Dell Hoffman may have met his equal when Bounty Hunter Rose Parsons comes on the scene. to challenge him in chasing down outlaws.In the high plains of the vast Texas Panhandle, someone is burning ranch houses when the families are in their beds asleep. It's the last straw when the local mercantile is set on fire and the town threatened. Sheriff Dell Hoffman begins an all-out search for the evil arsonist. After bounty hunter Rose Parsons returns from capturing vicious outlaw Rafe Malone, her Mama's home is burned while she is in it. Rose sets out on her own hunt for the man known as the Fire Starter vowing to take his head in for the bounty.Though they each ride the Texas Panhandle hard as they might, neither can identify or track down the owlhoot. Desperate to stop the fiery trail of the devil outlaw, the two team up to lead a posse of trusted men that includes an Apache, two outlaws and a few deputies in a hell-bent-for-leather chase across the high plains of Texas where lightning can strike without warning.
