Overview
Peggy Schimmelman's poems in Make Me Your Love Song dance through a woman's memories, regrets, daily joys, reflections on love and the sadder aspects of life with a fine musicality. Her words take the reader to unexpected conclusions as in "The Odds: " Why not dance? Why aren't you singing? You have beaten the odds, after all. Her poetry shows how to continue to grow with grace. As is said in the poem "Look Up!," We could all use some perspective-softening moonlight. -Alice Elizabeth Rogoff, author of City Canyons and Painting the Cat's Vision, editor of Haight Ashbury Literary Journal
