When Psychologist Kristen Anderson rescues the lost little girl at a 5k race, her father, Mike, practically charges Kristen with child abduction. Despite his good looks, Kristen in unimpressed with the new town hospitalist. She has plenty to keep her busy: three part-time jobs, a mother with health issues, and a goofy Labradoodle. There's no need to add a grumpy doctor and his cute daughter to the mix. Despite a career as a successful physician, Mike feels like a failure in most areas of his life. His marriage has ended, his daughter splits her time between his home in Gordon and his ex-wife's in Indianapolis, and he's adjusting to working in a small-town hospital.
