Overview
An intelligent work, Too Late For Fruit, Too Soon For Flowers follows in the footsteps of author Steve M. Skupien's previous books of poetry (The Wrong Pipe, 2013; and It Rings a Bell, 2016). In his latest book, he continues the examination of the human condition - the characteristics and key events that compose the essentials of human existence, including emotion, aspiration, conflict, faith, and mortality. The book makes for a fitting trilogy. With a keen mind (and heart), Skupien investigates the human spirit here with an insight reserved for a poet. Not without humor, the poems presented here are vivid, unique, and sincere.
