Overview
God spoke the world into existence with His word. When Moses wanted to quit and throw in the towel unless God showed Himself, God described Himself using words. God revealed Himself through the prophets of great through His word. Then, He made His word become flesh and dwell among us. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace And truth." John 1:1, 14 The Bible says... Thy Word I have hidden in my heart... Your Word is a lamp to my feet... The Word of God is living and powerful... Your Word is truth, sanctify them by Your Word... God's name is one Word - YHWH (Yahweh) God's Son's name is one Word - Jesus The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is one Word - Trinity The greatest commandment is fulfilled in one Word - Love There is more wisdom, comfort, and power in one Word of God than all the words of men! This book, therefore, looks intensely at a few particular words among the 770,430 words in the New King James Version of the Bible. We will spend some time focusing on these specific words in the bible, reading the word in its scriptural context, learning a little about it, and making each word a part of our prayer life.
