Overview

Women throughout the centuries have endured many challenges along their journey from equal rights of women to women valuing themselves. Women's successes and failures along their journey can influence individuals and society for eternity, back from the Garden of Eden to present. Women underestimate or exploit this precious gift of influence they have to upbuild or dismantle a nation. However, when a woman loves God, every decision made regarding singleness, marriage, career, and so forth is influenced by her love for God. The world's views may influence her for a brief moment but the influence of God in her life will prevail. Eartha L. Mims was born in small rural town in South Carolina and presently lives in Clearwater, FL. She was educated in the public school system of Calhoun County. After graduation she attended South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC and received a degree in Elementary Education and master's degree in Counseling Education. After graduation she moved to Clearwater, FL and taught 5th grade for 3 years then became a school counselor at the middle school level for 33 years in Pinellas County. In the winter of 2005, received a master's degree in Educational Leadership and 2017 a doctorate degree in Education. Eartha is a member of a local church in Clearwater, FL and has taught Sunday School to youth and adult women. Currently active in the church's choir and Women on Mission. She is married and blessed with two adult sons and a daughter.
