Overview

Raven By BloodRaven is in Charlie's blood. He's a native woodcarver in southeast Alaska. Charlie's a half-breed, Tlingit and white. He's a part of the Kiks.adi, called the "Bitter Unwholesome Water tribe," because of the silty, murky water from the Stikine River. The tribe lives where the Stikine empties into the ocean. His father and aunt are worried about him. His aunt asks the spirits for help, and assistance arrives in the form of a raven, Charlie's totem. The raven serves his own agenda, shadowing Charlie. As a carver, he cannot see the traditional stylized forms in what he is about to carve. What he sees in the wood is too realistic. It represents the half of Charlie that isn't native, not at all Tlingit. That's not his only problem. He's falling in love with a smart, beautiful girl and finds himself running from the law. He doesn't know why the police are after him. What he does know is that someone has put a bounty on his head. This action-adventure thriller whisks Charlie away from the rain forests of his home. He's taken to Seattle in chains, where he's charged with the rape and murder of a young artist. To make matters worse, someone is shooting at Charlie. He barely avoids his first encounter and doesn't want another. Can Charlie outsmart his foes and get the girl of his dreams? Will Charlie become a convicted murderer or beat the charges leveled against him? Find out by reading Raven By Blood!
