Overview
No one wants to have cancer or any other serious disease. But unfortunately, we don't get to choose. God allows trouble in our lives to show us how strong He is in the midst of it all and to strengthen us. It is in the midst of our troubles that we come to realize the incredible goodness and faithfulness of our Savior. If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) We do not choose to have cancer, and it is important to understand that God does not generally give people cancer or any other serious disease. But our wonderful, loving God does offer comfort and peace and strength to get you through your illness. You just have to choose to receive it! The purpose of this book is to help you to receive these blessings of comfort, peace, and strength as you fight your battle. Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27 NIV). Whether you are a long-time believer or not sure if God is real, choose to receive the blessings of the Holy Spirit through these daily devotions! Our loving God longs to bless you! This is your personal invitation to experience God's unchanging love.
