Overview
New Zealand is one of my top three favourite places in the world. There are no dangerous animals, insects, or diseases and no vaccinations or visas are required for most people. It has some spectacular scenery that has been recognised and used by many film producers, such as Sir Peter Jackson for his Hobbit and Lord of the Rings series of films. There are many long-distance walking paths for those that want to take their time and many competitively priced camper van options for those that want to travel a little faster to see all that the country has to offer. It is a large country with a tiny population so if you like the great outdoors, dramatic scenery, wilderness, beautiful countryside, and wide-open spaces, this is the place to go.
