The story centers on a married lesbian couple Abigail "Abby" Sterling and her wife Francheska "Frankie" Galantino. The couple has been trying to conceive a baby; however traditional in vitro procedures have not been successful for the couple and it has been suggested that a more traditional route be considered. Abby is struggling to come to terms with the idea of someone other than her wife touching her. Although her wife finds a creative solution with the help of a sperm assist device.Throughout the story Abby takes us back through memories of why she moved to New Orleans and started her music Foundation in the first place and how it was that she came to meet and marry her beautiful wife. The couple experiences heartache, joy and sadness along the way, but their love transcends time, and they are able to endure all that is put in their path.
