Overview

Arabella has not had a happy marriage. From the same era as Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, and Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. Lovers of those classics will enjoy this romantic mystery from the Regency period. Left alone at her husband's estate for three years, she wars between despair and anger until she determines to go back to London in search of him. Her sister, Lady Cecelia Ward, introduces her to Lady Landerbelt and together, they come up with a plan. Now known as the widowed "Lady Stanley," Arabella must try and discover the truth as to her husband's prolonged absence without letting her heart become involved. Lord Anthony Fitzwilliam is in dire straits. Unable to return home, he hates that he cannot seem to find an escape from his situation. When Lady Stanley witnesses one of his crimes, he has no choice but to pursue her. Will the truth finally reveal itself? And what will Lord Fitzwilliam do when he realizes that Lady Stanley, the lady he has found himself draw to, is, in fact, his wife? ????? Beautiful love connection! I received a free ebook from Booksprout and the author. I loved this sweet, clean and romantic novel. Two people, in an arranged marriage, living separately but kindred spirits attracted to each other when they meet three years later for the first time since their wedding day. I loved the strong heroine who is not only intelligent, but also the person who saves not only the day, but also deals with difficult impossible circumstances. ????? Who is Lady Stanley? I enjoyed the book it had some interesting twists, it was a quick read, and well-written. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. *This is a historical Regency romance novel of 30,000 words. No cheating, no cliff hangers, and a sweet happily ever after. www.hiseverlastinglove.com
