Overview
Samson is the only son of Marie-Claudette, the wife of the former cloth merchant who was shot dead during a demonstration in Haiti in 1986 under the reign of the Duvalier. On January 15, 1986, Samson was only three years old when his dad, the only son of Mr. Jacques Menard was killed and his wife, Marie-Claudette could not even have the body of her husband for the funeral for a last goodbye. It was Marie-Claudette's worst day before such an atrocity.
