Brilliant, talented, and lost in the world, Dean Montgomery, an author and closeted neurotic, finds himself in the throes of literary success. As his book sales increase, so does the weight of his social status brought on by his retreat to Christmas Lake. A lakeside community, Dean attempts to find himself between towering trees and charming bungalows. But as his friendships break down and relationships crumble, the Writer soon learns that sometimes, we must be our own hero. The Writer of Christmas Lake's story is now yours to own.
