This workbook is a comprised of questions based upon, Luther's Small Catechism with Explanation: CPH:2008. The workbook includes questions based upon Luther's Small Catechism; pertinent Bible passages, most of which are from Luther's Small Catechism with Explanation; and questions on the Explanation of the same. Most of these questions are also found in other workbooks from the Grace Lutheran Church Catechetical Series, especially Youth Bible History and Divine Service, Volumes I & II.The most thorough catechetical instruction includes memorization and recitation of Luther's Small Catechism and pertinent Bible passages. In that case, this workbook serves as an excellent review of what has been memorized. Unfortunately, memorization is not always possible. In that case this workbook, together with the rest of the Grace Lutheran Catechetical Series, serves to introduce the catechumens to the Catechism and appropriate Bible passages and Biblical accounts. And, through repeated exposure, helps them to commit the doctrine and life of the Church presented therein to memory.
