His sister Laka, who is not at all sure if she's ready to be swept off her feet by the handsome Benn. And their friend Geordan - a young man resolute in the unique pact he has set for himself. As human and Sapient lives steadily entwine, Sebastian begins to wonder - who is it that's really in charge of his universe?
