She is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, and is a retired elementary school music teacher. She has been writing since childhood and is delighted to finally have more time to devote to her first love. This is Ms. Belota's second volume of poetry and she has two other volumes in the works. She is also at work on an eclectic collection of essays, which will be published in early 2019.When not writing, Ms. Belota enjoys singing, volunteering for various church activities, reading, cooking, and not having to get up and go to a job every morning. Retirement is the best!
