A journey where young love starts for Jason Porter, in Basel, Switzerland. When they all have to leave and head back home to the Midwest, where they all come from, he's sad, but he decided to make friends with the brother of the young girl he fell for. He's seen her multiple times throughout their young lives through combined family vacations, wanting to be close to her, hold her hand, and even kiss her, but too afraid to tell her that he loves her. Years have gone by, without seeing one another. As adults, their paths cross once again back in Basel. He was there to find her, to see if he was right about the signals she had been giving him so many times before, were the same feelings he thought she had for him now. For Talia Rose, it was a crush saved for a rainy day, and an unknown journey of love that would show her how to fill that empty space inside and make the hurt go away. They say timing is everything, when they finally connect in the most intimate way. For a short while they must be apart, because of Jason's job, but eventually he comes home to her and they start sharing their lives. They have a wedding to plan. We also learn that some secrets were never meant to stay hidden. And then something happens where not only one life hangs in the balance, but two. Someone makes an early wish, for a miracle or two for Christmas. We learn what love looks, and what love feels like, and that love can last.
