The artist was in an accident when she was 45 - the same age her mother was when she died in an automobile accident. A profound wake- up call about her own mortality, it prompted the artist to capture her physical essence. Using plaster molds of her face and parts of her body, she formed paper sculptures depicting different aspects of her persona.
