Overview
An unlikely love story with the greatest escape. This love story is not your typical boy meets girl, and they ride off into the sunset. No, this love story has everything fit for a movie. This is the true story of a Prisoner of War soldier from Northern Ireland and a poor farm girl from Germany. The Second World War would bring them both together. Despite everything against them and thrown at them, their love for each other knew no bounds. Samuel Quigley's escape from the clutches of the Germans is incredible on its own, but escaping himself was not enough. He escaped, then rescued his German sweetheart from her own evil clutches to form an astonishing escape that will go down as one of the greatest escapes. This story is a testament to the real human spirit and tenacity. It proves beyond any reasonable doubt that love does indeed conquer all, as Samuel Quigley and Sophia Freda have shown.
